From the so-called “sectoral approach” to the on-going negotiating process of a Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism, and against the background of the early initiatives taken in the context of the League of Nations, this presentation provides a comprehensive overview and an assessment of the contribution of the United Nations to the legal framework to enhance co-operation in combating international terrorism.
