Chapter VI reproduces selected legal opinions and similar legal memoranda of the United Nations and related intergovernmental organizations.
While annual volumes of the United Nations Juridical Yearbook have been published since 1963 in accordance with General Assembly resolution 1814 (XVII), the Assembly more recently mandated the publication of a United Nations Juridical Yearbook: Special Edition (resolution 68/110), to contain select legal opinions that have not been previously published in the Juridical Yearbook. These newly released opinions can be accessed through dedicated webpage and complement Chapter VI of the Juridical Yearbook.
