Human Rights Bodies - Introduction
Explaining the Human Rights Treaty-Based Complaints Procedures at the United Nations Level
The lecture intends to introduce the listener or viewer to the individual treaty-based complaints procedures of the UN human rights treaty bodies. It will outline the procedures of the treaty bodies in this respect, give examples of relevant treaty body jurisprudence and look at how States implement the decisions of the treaty bodies on individual complaints.

Human Rights Council and Its Interaction with other Human Rights Procedures
The lecture examines the modality and the effectiveness of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Procedure of the Human Rights Council. It also addresses the complementarity between the UPR procedure and the reporting procedures of the UN human rights treaty bodies.
