    • The Chair of the Working Group on the Effects of Armed Conflicts on Treaties introduced its report (A/CN.4/L.726).
    • The Commission adopted the report of the Working Group, and referred to the Drafting Committee draft articles 8, 8 bis, 8 ter, 8 quater, 9 and 14, as proposed by the Working Group, as well as draft articles 12 and 13, as proposed by the Special Rapporteur, together with the recommendations of the Working Group contained in its report.

    • The Commission referred draft article 47bis to the Drafting Committee.

    • On behalf of the Chair of the Drafting Committee, Mr. Caflisch introduced the report of the Drafting Committee on Effects of armed conflicts on treaties (A/CN.4/L.727/Rev.1). The Commission considered the report and adopted the following draft guidelines: 2.6.5 (Author/Auteur), 2.6.11 (Non-requirement of confirmation of an objection made prior to formal confirmation of a reservation/Non-exigence de la confirmation d'une objection faite avant la confirmation formelle de la réserve), 2.6.12 (Requirement of confirmation of an objection formulated prior to the expression of consent to be bound by a treaty/Exigence de la confirmation d'une objection formulée avant l'expression du consentement à être lié par le traité) and 2.8 (Forms of acceptance of reservations/Formes d'acceptation des réserves).

    • The Special Rapporteur, Mr. Eduardo Valencia-Ospina, introduced his preliminary report on the topic (A/CN.4/598)
  • Responsibility of international organizations
    • The Chair of the Working Group on Responsibility of international organizations made an oral report. The Commission took note of the oral report and referred draft articles 52 to 57, paragraph 1, to the Drafting Committee.
  • Cooperation with other bodies
    • The representative of the Inter-American Juridical Committee, Mr. Antonio Fidel Perez, addressed the Commission. An exchange of views followed.
